An explanation of the Wine Board's Wine Guide.

The numbers and letters below the Wine Board's symbol are a guide for our customers.

White and Rose wines are numbered 1-9
1 - the Driest e.g. Chablis, to 8 - the sweetest e.g. Sauternes Lagrange

Red wines are lettered A - E
A - the lightest e.g. Stoneridge, to E- the most robust e.g. Wolf Blass Shiraz Cabernet.


Footnote

Each year when a vintage changes it is possible the grapes sugar content will vary depending on the growing season. therefore the alcohol by volume (A.B.V) may rise or fall by 1/2 %. The "Management" makes every endeavour to provide the vintage brands and A.B.V quoted.
